Coaching offers 1:1 professional support to help individuals, usually a manager or executive, focus on specific work-related challenges. It is a way of encouraging and supporting you to achieve a goal or a set of goals, change behaviour, clarify your preferred leadership style, explore relational or role-specific challenges. It can involve a coach working with an executive to unlock their potential, enhance their performance, and achieve their goals.

Coaching is different from mentoring, in which a more experienced or qualified expert helps increase learning or knowledge about specific and agreed areas. 

Coaching usually runs in cycles of 6 weeks but can be delivered for more than 6 sessions. Often it is useful to have a break and reconvene months later after the tools, learning and reflections have been implemented. I can provide a range of materials related to the topics or subject areas we focus upon. This can be used outside of our sessions.

Coaching can also be useful in preparation for significant events, such as restructures, changes in strategic direction, conflict or significant performance issues. Although most coaching sessions are delivered remotely via video, I often offer a day rate or half-day rate, depending on the location, for in-person sessions. The initial session can often benefit from an in-person session.

I can offer team coaching sessions, in which up to 6 people commit to at least 6 monthly reflective sessions. These are delivered in person or remotely. Please contact me about this in relation to pricing and further details.

Consultancy is a structured process in which I work with customers to understand their wants and needs. Often this starts with defining a ‘Problem Statement’, then engaging with a range of agreed stakeholders, both inside and outside of the organisation to support the solution design/re-design/update process.

I have over 20 years’ of experience working at a senior level with Health and Social Care organisations to lead and orchestrate this process for complex, clinical services. Being a practicing psychotherapist helps with this process. I have used this experience to replicate the process with large multi-national organisations and smaller organisations, such as local charities or SMEs.

I have much experience in designing intuitive, customer/client-focused, evidence & choice-based mental health and wellbeing services, predominantly for employees or members of organisations.

I am ILM Level 7 qualified Executive Coach and have many years’ experience supporting executives, leaders and managers. I have a wealth of experience in senior leadership positions. I have been a director of a large health and social care organisation with £50M+ PA P&L. I am familiar with many of the challenges of C-Suite executives. 

I have a collaborative approach, wanting to understand your experience, your drives and your objectives. Coaching will help build up trust and awareness. Trust in each other and awareness of the context, detail and business challenges that you face. 

I have much experience in building, implementing, and reviewing strategy, leadership development, service delivery transformation, including engagement and cultural shift and workplace wellbeing. 

I also provide team coaching, which supports small groups of executives or leaders reflect on and develop specific leadership challenges. 

Consultancy

I have supported the re-design of entire employee wellbeing solutions for several multinational companies, requiring significant planning, RoI calculations and system configuration/design.

I believe that the most important element of organisational consultancy is providing a safe and professional environment for stakeholders to share. Aggregating thoughts and incorporating best practice into an intuitive and effective model of delivery is only possibly with effective engagement at the start of the process.
